5K / 15K Run or Walk & Elves Trot for Children

Join us for the largest HOLIDAY RACING EVENT in the Inland Empire!




LOCATION

  • Race starts near the Loma Linda Civic Center, Corner of Barton Rd. and Loma Linda Drive in Loma Linda. Parking is available off of Benton, one block south of Barton Rd. Click here for Mapquest map.
  • RACE START TIMES
  • 7:00 AM:    5K run, 5K walk, 15K run, 15K walk
  • 7:15 AM:    Elves Trot (for children ages 3 through 6 years) (1/4 mile)
  • REGISTRATION OPTIONS
  • Register by internet on active.com. Early registrants are guaranteed t-shirts. Note: the last day for on-line registration is Monday, November 26.
  • Use the printable race application forms (PDF) for individuals or for school teams with 10 or more members. Print, fill out, and mail the form with a check for the required amount to Loma Linda Lopers, P.O. Box 495, Loma Linda, CA 92354. Early registrants are guaranteed t-shirts.
  • You can register on race day. Race day registration begins at 6:00 AM. Race-day registrants will get t-shirts after the race if they are available.
  • PRE-REGISTRATION AND CHIP/BIB PICK-UP OPTION
  • Pre-registration and chip/bib pick-up is recommended on Saturday , December 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Inland Community Bank located at 11175 Mountain View Ave., Suite 0 in Loma Linda (three doors north of Clark’s Nutrition Center). (Click here for Mapquest map). December 1 registrants will get t-shirts after the race if they are available.
  • PANCAKE BREAKFAST
  • Free breakfast for all 5K and 15K participants beginning at 7:30 AM. (Must show race number; Elves Trot excluded.)
  • Non participants: $3.00 per adult, $2.50 per child 12 or under.
  • Sponsored by the Crossroads Rotary Club of San Bernadino.
  • COURSE
  • Both the 5K and 15K races start and finish on Loma Linda Drive next to the Loma Linda Civic Center at Barton Rd. and Loma Linda Drive.
  • The 5K course is a loop with some moderate hills.
  • The 15K course goes out and back. The first half alternates flat and uphill. The turnaround has a beautiful view of the San Bernadino mountains and Valley. The course then returns mostly downhill to the finish.

  • NOTE: For the safety of all participants and to satisfy insurance requirements, ABSOLUTELY NO BABY JOGGERS, strollers, bicycles, roller blades or other wheeled vehicles allowed on the course.
  • AWARDS
  • Finishers Metals to all runners and walkers
  • Medals awarded to top three finishers in each age group, male and female, all races. (See the entry form for list of age groups for runners and walkers)
  • Trophies awarded to overall male and female winners of each race
  • Santa Claus Medals to all Elves who register
  • ENTRY FEES
  • 5K/15: $30 if postmarked by November 11, 2007. $35 after November 11.
  • Elves Trot (no t-shirt): $5 if postmarked before November 11, $10 after November 11.
  • School team (10 or more members): $25 per student if postmarked by November 11, 2007. $30 after November 11
  • VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
  • Many volunteers are needed to make this race a success! The success of the previous races is due in large part to the efforts of our volunteers.

  • What is the route?  Same as last year.  There will be maps available or posted at the race. Click here for map of course (PDF).
  • Where can I obtain an application? On this website; at the Loma Linda office of Inland Community Bank; from the Lopers club at their Sunday morning meetings and from most sponsors of the race. See above.
  • Will I receive a confirmation when I register? If you register through active.com you will receive a confirmation.  Otherwise, we will have no mechanism for sending confirmations.
  • Can I get a refund for any reason? There will be no refunds for any reason.  The race will go on--- rain or shine.
  • Can I register and pick up my chip and race bib before the race or on race day? You can register and pick up your chip and bib on race day. You may also register and pick up your chip/race bib on Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in front of the Loma Linda office of the Inland Community Bank (see above).  And you may also register beginning at 6:00 am at the race.  We strongly urge you to register in advance and avoid the crowd on race day!
  • What time should I arrive on race day? At least 1 hour before race time.  That means by 6:00 am -- especially if you plan to register on race day.
  • What is the age limit for the Elves Trot? The Elves Trot is for children ages 3 through 6 years.
