Training Routes for Loma Linda Lopers Marathon Clinic

The Lopers Club has made some changes to the Clinic Training Route in Loma Linda for the 2012 season. For distances up to 15 miles the route is a simple out-and-back along the streets of Loma Linda to the path by the wash, then turn left and follow the path until the 7.5 mile turn-around where the path ends at Anderson. For 18 miles turn left at Anderson and go through the Elmer Digno park to Van Lueven. Turn left on Van Lueven, then turn left at Curtis street (before Mountain View) and the 18 mile turn-around is near where it ends

For 20-22 miles the route consists of two out and back loops.  It starts the same way as the 15-18 mile route, but at around 3.5 miles you continue on Beaumont Avenue rather than turning left at Wellesley, and then turn right at San Timoteo Canyon Road until the water stop at the "Bell" at Fern Avenue, then return to Wellesley and Beaumont Avenue and follow the regular route to the 18 mile turn-around as discussed above. For 20 miles go back the same way, but do not go to the "Bell" again. For 22 miles you need to take the round-trip to the "Bell" a second time.

Please contact us if you have any comments or suggestions about the route.
